A Note From OUR Pastor
Bruce G. Chesser
Good morning. It’s fall break week for Sumner County Schools. As a result, many of our families will be away on vacation this week. We will not have our midweek activities on Wednesday. Enjoy that change of pace and the change of weather.
You might have noticed by now that the two downstairs bathrooms closest to the Worship Center are closed for remodeling. The good news is that the two bathrooms upstairs are now completed and open for your use. Take the elevator or the stairs to the second floor. The bathrooms just past the Weekley Building connection have been open for a couple of months now. They are available, too.
This morning, we will study from Matthew 8:28-34. In the passage, Jesus encounters some men facing a serious problem. As always, Jesus has a solution for man’s problem. My prayer is that we would all be reminded that the Lord meets us where we are and He wants to help us with whatever challenge we face in life.

Sunday Connect
From Senior Associate Pastor, Bruce RaleY
We will have a church-wide picnic on Sunday afternoon, October 18. It will be held here at the church from 4:00 pm to dark. Most of the activities will be in the parking and grass areas in front of the Family Ministry Center.
There will be plenty of activities for the kids. Carnival-type rides, inflatables, games, and more will make it a fun evening for the family. For those who like to relax, the church orchestra will be playing at the FMC patio at 5:00 pm. A car show will be held in front of the Chapel. BBQ sack suppers will be available.
The purpose of the picnic is to provide an opportunity to visit and fellowship. With four services every week, we have few times when we are all together at one time and in one place. Let’s make this a fun evening of visiting with old friends and making new friends.
It is a joy to serve you.
Bruce Raley
